Interior Shading - Problems

Common Interior Problems

Harsh Light

Colorado is known for having over 300 days of sun. And while that can be great for our mood and enjoying the outdoors, it isn’t always optimal for furniture, décor, and cooling bills. Proper programming allows your shading system to automatically use or block the sun’s warmth. Combine automated shading with lighting and temperature control and your potential energy savings could be 40%.

Blackout Shades

Sometimes blackout shades are important for your life and health — you work swing or night shifts, you suffer from migraine headaches or other medical conditions. Maybe it is just for a fun family movie or the big game. Whatever the reason, creating a dark room is possible through the use of blackout shade systems. Yes, we use opaque shade fabric, but we can take it even farther with hardware that will seal even the smallest light leak.

Skylights

Roman shades, solar shades, blackout shades, and honeycomb shades can all be adapted for use in a skylight opening. These treatments control the amount of sun exposure you want through your skylight. Light filtering options reduce light and heat passage into your home, while blackout systems can create a darkened room for sleeping or media viewing.

French Doors

We offer a variety of beautiful shading options that stay in place as the french doors open and close. These shades can be motorized and automated just like other windows. We often recommend honeycomb shades for added insulation.
